Help me!!!

I don't know Italian, sorry, I don't know English very well as well. So, I hope you can understand me!

So..., I'm looking for a pc retailer in your country, that delivers or has a shop in Milan, and sells in decend prices. I've looked on the net but the prices are a lot higher than I thought, compared to the ones in US. So, if you can give me some links, I'll be extremely grateful. I found that Speltek has one of the good prices, but they are still with 20 to 50 eur higher for piece, which is a lot.

The thing is, I'm helping my cousin to build a pc. He lives in Milan but has no computer at home and doesn't know a thing about hardware. I don't too, so I'll be grateful for some help too. I don't live in Italy and I'm not sured if I chose the right section of the forum, and if the mods want, they can move this thread elsewhere.

So, his budget is aound 800 eur for the computer parts, without monitor, mouse, keyboard and case. He said they are the limit actually, but I can convince him to spare a couple of bucks more - 50 or 60 may be. So, I chose these:

MB: eVGA nforce 790i ultra
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad q9450
GPU: eVGA GeForce GTX 260 (not the clocked editions)
RAM: Corsair XMS3 DHX 2048MB Dual Channel PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory (2 x1024MB)
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 500 GB, 32 MB Cache

And please tell me what power supply this system would need. I'm thinking smth. like 700-750 Watt. If in a year or two an additional video card can be added to make SLI would this be enough? He plans to use this pc for several years ahead and doesn't want to buy stuff that can be junk next year. He'll use it mainly for gaming and watching HD stuff.... I'm not sure if the power supply is in the 800 eur though.

Tell me what you think, and most important tell me the right place to buy these items. Overall in tigerdirect and other us online retailers these cost around 800-900 eur max. I don't want him to pay more for things that can be found cheapier somewhere else. In Speltek they are over 1000 eur. If you suggest me better components, you'll make my life a lot easier. I've read bad things about nvidia mobos and a lot of the people say intel make the best ones, but I don't know... I like how 790i sounds. I've read and good things about it. And dual or quad core. I'm for the quad, but if the duals are better please enlighten me!

The shop must be in Milan?
Your cousin should withdraw the PC personally?
If he can get the PC via mail, there are other places (good shops) outside Milan, with good prices.


In any case, the configuration you proposal cost about € 1000, due to the motherboard & gfx card not exactly "cheap".

In my opinion the only reason for choosing nVidia chipset is to be able to make SLI; choosing Intel chipset (high end x48) & DDR2 memories you could save a few euros, having good performance and ATi cross-fire (that with the latest generation of gfx card is not bad), so here's my advice:

P.S. for gaming use,a dual-core with higher frequency is indicated, compared with a quad-core that is still not fully exploited, thereby saving about 100-120 euros:
