Salve, ho questa scheda madre: XFX nForce 780I SLI INTEL SOCKET 775DDR2

Attualmente ho montato:

Coreduo E8400 3 GHZ
4GB DDR2
Quad-Sli 9800 GX2

Volevo cambiarli e volevo sapere:
- Che processori posso montare?
- Posso installare 16 GB di ram DDR3?
- Con le ultime GForce 500 posso fare uno SLI o anche un TRE-SLI o QUAD-SLI?

1) In teoria puoi montare tutti i processori socket 775 attualmente in commercio, sia quad che dual; tuttavia il sito XFX non specifica quali modelli possono essere montati e con quale revisione di bios (la documentazione è totalmente insufficiente, un supporto tecnico a dir poco scandaloso...) per cui ti consiglio di lasciar perdere, oltretutto il socket 775 è ormai in fase di dismissione, inutile spendere soldi per un processore nuovo che magari non ti porterebbe aumenti di prestazioni.
2) No, la scheda supporta solo le ddr2.
3) In teoria potresti fare un triplo SLI, ma saresti limitato dal processore.
In definitiva, lascia perdere ogni idea di aggiornamento: metti i soldi da parte e cambia tutto il PC, è la cosa migliore
