A hard drive subsystem connected via Fibre Channel which behaves outwardly like a tape drive. The advantage here is that you can work with your regular backup software. A current backup is played back to this system, which is immediately available when needed, without having to hunt for the right tapes first.

The PX720 is a tape library. There's room for up 720 tapes in each 19" rack. If this isn't enough, you can join up to five racks together. An integrated web server takes care of status monitoring and maintenance. The library is connected via Fibre Channel.
