Abbiamo cambiato il monitor con uno fullhd 16:9 e credo per mancanza di ram tutto è di molto rallentato... era già lento con il precedente avendo aperto contemporaneamente il programma di contabilità, firefox più tabs, Live mail, Open Office Write ed Excel di Microsoft.
Abbiamo deciso di aumentare la ram da 4gb a 8gb ma non sappiamo che tipo avendo letto che la HP usa moduli se non proprio proprietari penso modificati per loro.
Chiedo aiuto al forum sperando di non aver sbagliato sede per porre la domanda.

Abbiamo cambiato il monitor con uno fullhd 16:9 e credo per mancanza di ram tutto è di molto rallentato... era già lento con il precedente avendo aperto contemporaneamente il programma di contabilità, firefox più tabs, Live mail, Open Office Write ed Excel di Microsoft.
Abbiamo deciso di aumentare la ram da 4gb a 8gb ma non sappiamo che tipo avendo letto che la HP usa moduli se non proprio proprietari penso modificati per loro.
Chiedo aiuto al forum sperando di non aver sbagliato sede per porre la domanda.

Quella CPU i5-2500 non è male per uso ufficio e tranquillamente utilizzabile, anche gli attuali 4gb potrebbero costituire un limite fino ad un certo punto, comunque portarli a 8 è buona cosa. Non è che HP modifichi i chip di memoria, solo può essere che tramite il BIOS limitino i tipi di RAM supportata.. scrivi su Amazon o su eBay quello che è riportato sulle barrette e troverai i banchi che ti servono.

Non credo nemmeno che il rallentamento sia dato dall'installazione di schermo fullHD. Dai dati che hai mandato sembrerebbe che non ci sia una scheda grafica dedicata ma che utilizzi la HD2000 integrata nel chip... in tal caso prendi una scheda video di fascia bassa, anche usata (30 euro) così allegerisci il carico della CPU con l'acceleratore grafico.

Infine il rallentamento potrebbe essere dovuto anche alla poca manutenzione del OS e molti processi in background (in ufficio ciò succede molto spesso). Perciò andrebbe fatta una buona pulizia se non proprio una reinstallazione.

In tal caso potresti valutare l'idea di aggiungere un SSD come disco di boot ed in cui installare i programmi (anche soli 120gb). Avresti solo con questo notevoli incrementi prestazionali.

Grazie dei consigli. Effettivamente il pc da quando fu acquistato non è mai stato aperto per una pulizia, dopo ferragosto vedrò di pulirlo con un cura ed attenzione.

La pulizia del sistema operativo è più complicata avendo poca voce in capitolo specie per i programmi in esecuzione automatica ed in background. Fosse per me disattiverei tutto e quando necessario lancio l'eseguibile ma davanti a quel pc non ci sono io.
Forse convinco ad installare ccleaner ed è già tanto.

Per la pulizia del sistema, potete anche usare la funzionalità Pulizia Disco di Windows 7, la trovate fra gli Accessori, sottocartella Utilità di Sistema. In alternativa, potete anche usare la versione Portable di Bleachbit, un software di pulizia nato sotto Linux e di recente portato sotto Windows. Con quello, potete anche eliminare i Temporanei dei principali browser, oltre a quelli residenti nel sistema operativo.
