ATi rilascia i Catalyst 6.5

Novità:

I Catalyst 6.5 introducono una nuova opzione per l'Overlay Theater Mode. La nuova opzione, Standard Dual Mode è disponibile per schede grafiche della serie Radeon X1x00. Questa nuova caratteristica permette agli utenti di fare il playback del video utilizzando l'accellerazione hardware quando si usano entrambi i display (clone mode).

Adaptive Anti-Aliasing per ATI Radeon 9500 e superiori

L'Adaptive Anti-Aliasing si occupa dell'intera superficie della scena a dispetto di quanto succede con il Multi-Sample che lavora sulo sull'interfaccia. L'Adaptive AA può lavorare sulle texels transparenti o opache, come quelle che comprendono le texture di superficie. In precedenza questa caratteristica era disponibili solo per le ATI Radeon X1000.

Le ottimizzazioni del codice per la banda PCI Express presenti nei Catalyst 6.5 apportano miglioramenti prestazionali sia per le configurazioni ATI Radeon X1600 che per le Radeon X1300 Crossfire, inclusi:
