Intel ha aggiornato l'offerta di processori per portatili. L'azienda ha presentato le CPU dual-core Core i5 580M e Core i5 560M. Entrambe hanno una frequenza base di 2,66 GHz, 3 MB di cache L3 e supportano l'Hyper-Threading. Il TDP è di 35 watt. La differenza è nel Turbo Boost: il modello 580M raggiunge i 3,33 GHz, mentre il 560M i 3,2 GHz. Nella fascia dei processori a basso consumo ecco il Core i5 560UM, con una frequenza di 1,33 GHz. Questo dual-core supporta l'Hyper-Threading, ha 3 MB di cache L3 e un TDP di 18 watt.
Nella serie Core i7 ci sono tre novità . Il Core i7 640M è un dual-core con 4 MB di cache L3, supporta l'Hyper-Threading e ha un TDP di 35 watt. Per quanto riguarda le offerte a basso consumo, ecco il Core i7 660LM (346 dollari) con TDP di 25 watt e frequenza di 2,26 GHz. C'è anche il Core i7 680UM, con TDP di 18 watt e frequenza di 1,46 GHz. A chiudere la lista i Celeron P4600 e T3500.
