VRMark, 3DMark & AotS: Escalation

Intel Core i5-8400 alla prova. Il processore a 6 core Coffee Lake con moltiplicatore bloccato può essere un buon investimento, anche alla luce dei Ryzen 5? Ecco la nostra recensione.

Il Core i5-8400 si comporta bene in VRMark, battendo persino le CPU Ryzen 5 overcloccate. Il Core i5-7400 di precedente generazione di Intel è abbastanza staccato, a testimonianza del vantaggio di core e di frequenza Turbo Boost dell'8400. Quest'ultimo compete bene contro il più costoso Core i5-8600K, in particolare alla luce del suo deficit nella frequenza base.

L'8400 sfida l'8600K anche nei test CPU DX11 e DX12. Non sorprende che offra fino al 60% di prestazioni in più del Core i5-7400, ma la cosa ancora più interessante è che batte anche il Core i5-7600K di un buon margine.

Le ottime prestazioni di Ryzen 5 1600X ci fanno pensare che la tecnologia simultaneous multi-threading venga usata in modo ottimale. Il Core i5-8400 non è molto staccato dall'8600K e si lascia alle spalle facilmente il predecessore.
