Panasonic ha potenziato la propria gamma di laptop rugged, dotando i ThoughBook CF- 31, CF-19, CF-H2 e CF-53 del sistema operativo Windows 8 Pro. I miglioramenti delle macchine comprendono anche il nuovo processore IntelCore i5 vPro e importanti miglioramenti alle fotocamere, modificate per sfruttare a pieno le funzionalità di Windows 8.
Gli utilizzatori potranno valutare i vantaggi delle funzionalità di Windows 8 Pro, in attesa di una futura migrazione obbligata, anche se Microsoft ha esteso il supporto di Windows XP fino all'aprile 2014.
Per quanto riguarda la fotocamera, i tecnici di Panasonic assicurano un perfetto funzionamento in ambiente Windows 8 con il nuovo aggiornamento, risultando ottimizzata per le funzionalità di Web conferencing.
