Turkey is actively banning YouTube and Twitter, while the government isn't respecting the ruling of the Internation Court that declared illegal this action. Also, Ankar seems to be spying on its citizens. These are just the latest news regarding Turkey, but there is more to be said.
After initial disclosure Tom's Hardware got in contact with a Turkish user struggling from an app to another in order to circumvent the blockade and tell us about his and Turkey's people harsh condition. Talking with him we had the clear feeling that the grasp of government is getting harder. Clearly they feel stronger after winning the elections.
Our source is hiding behind a Twitter account, and confirmed that Google, Yandex, OpenDNS and others services where blocked, so he was using ZenMate for Google Chrome and a modified host file on his PC in order to communicate. On his smartphone he relies on some VPN services. He also tried NortonDNS, which was a viable solution too. He also wrote that proxies and the TOR network are working, as some user's suggested.
Twitter and YouTube
In the afternoon, however, things changed: at 3.00 PM NoronDNS became unavailable so he switched to Comodo Secure DNS, wich "works but is very slow". Also, the start page of the TOR browser is locked, and as 03.30 PM access to Twitter was possible only through VPN, while YouTube only via alternative DNS.
Facebook will be the next one
We asked our friend what could happen in the next days and if he's afraid of something. He tells us that they will shut down Facebook too and he's not afraid, but says: "Turkish ISPs using DNS Spoofing (DNS hijacking) and they loging our data".
Why is this happening? Our source confirm us that dissidents are using social networks to spread information about government corruption, so they were closed. He sendt us the video and wiretaps to be sure they are not ignored in Europe.
So how is possible Erdogan won the elections? Because many are scared and because, he tells us, many don't believe the videos. There are things that seems incredibles as in this audio record (here a text version), where the Foreign Minister Davotoglu, the head of intelligence Fidan and the army leader Bras are planning a war against Syria. Fidan says "I will create a case for war by ordering a missile attack against Turkey. We can prepare an attack on Suleiman Shab Tomb too, if needed".

It's hard if not impossible to forecast what's to come next in Turkey, but social networks are definitively playing a strong role in a game where human lives and fundamental rights are at stake. Thanks to the web we can't ignore these facts.

Censura in Turchia: la testimonanza di chi ha rotto i blocchi
YouTube e Twitter bloccati, il regime che non rispetta la sentenza della Corte Costituzionale per togliere i blocchi e spia gli utenti probabilmente per punire i dissidenti. Sono queste le notizie essenziali che ci arrivano dalla Turchia, ma non è abbastanza per avere il polso sull'aria che si respira lì.
Dopo la pubblicazione della notizia di questa mattina ci ha contattato via Twitter un utente turco, che a fatica passa da un'applicazione all'altra per riuscire a comunicare la difficile situazione in cui vive il suo popolo.
Norton Connect Safe non funzona più dal pomeriggio
La netta sensazione che abbiamo avuto dialogano con lui via social network è che la morsa del regime si stia stringendo sempre di più man mano che passano le ore. Evidentemente il regime si sente più forte dopo la vittoria alle elezioni. Tramite l'account Twitter dietro a cui si nasconde (speriamo lo faccia bene), il nostro interlocutore ci ha dapprima confermato che Google , Yandex , OpenDNS "and More" sono stati bloccati, e che per far passare le informazioni usava ZenMate per Chrome con il file host modificato da PC, oppure applicazioni VPN dallo smartphone.
In alternativa aveva provato con NortonDNS, anch'esso funzionante. Ci ha anche scritto che Proxy e TOR, come suggerivano alcuni utenti di Tom's Hardware, funzionavano.
Comodo Secure DNS
Nel pomeriggio però le cose sono già cambiate: alle 15:00 NortonDNS è diventato inaccessibile, ed è stato necessario passare a Comodo Secure DNS, che "funziona ma è molto lento". Inoltre la pagina inziale del browser TOR è bloccata e alle 15:30 da quell'ora si poteva ormai accedere a Twitter solo via VPN e a YouTube solo via DNS.
Chiediamo al nostro amico turco cosa succederà nei prossimi giorni e se ha paura: ci risponde che chiuderanno anche Facebook, e che non ha paura, anche se conferma: "Turkish ISPs using DNS Spoofing (DNS hijacking) and they loging our data", ossia gli Internet Service Provider stanno mettendo online dei falsi DNS per ingannare gli utenti e spiarli.
Occhio ai DNS
Perché tutto questo? Il nostro interlocutore conferma che i dissidenti hanno usato i social network per far conoscere la corruzione del governo e per tutta risposta sono stati chiusi. E ci inoltra i video e le registrazioni audio delle intercettazioni per essere sicuri che non vengano ignorati qui da noi.
Perché Allora Erodgan ha vinto le elezioni? Perché molti hanno paura e perché, ci spiega il nostro interlocutore, tanti non credono che quello che si sente nei video possa essere vero. Già, perché alcune cose sono davvero incredibili, come quello che si sente nella traccia audio (qui la trascrizione tradotta in inglese) in cui il ministro degli Esteri Davotoglu, il capo dell'Intelligence Fidan, e il capo dell'esercito Bras, progettano di scatenare una guerra contro la Siria. Fidan nell'occasione dice: "mi inventerò una causa di guerra ordinando un attacco missilistico sulla Turchia; possiamo anche preparare un attacco su Suleiman Shab Tomb se necessario".
Difficile capire se e come finirà in Turchia, quello che è certo è che i social network stanno giocando un ruolo fondamentale in una partita in cui sono in gioco vite umane e diritti fondamentali, e che grazie al web non si può ignorare.
