SuprNova.org e TorrentBits.org, due portali che fornivano link Bittorent per materiale coperto da copyright, hanno chiuso.
Parte del messaggio che si legge su Suprnova.org:
"As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up! But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it. We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links."
Non è difficile immaginare però le ragioni delle chiusure data la recente notizia dell'imminente attacco legale di Motion Picture Ass. of America (MPAA) inteso proprio a frenare la diffusione dei DVDrips sulla rete BitTorrent. I siti che forniscono links diventano presto punti di riferimento per le comunità di downloaders ed è probabile che proprio su questi si siano abbattute le azioni legali di MPAA.
