Per eseguire i test abbiamo usato una piattaforma basata sul controller Raid Intel ICH10R in modalità AHCI, perché nessun SSD SATA potrebbe saturarne la banda. In ambienti business tuttavia sarebbe più comune trovare un controller SAS/SATA Intel, o LSI, capace di aumentare il numero di porte disponibili. Noi però stiamo cercando di valutare le prestazioni su un tipico sistema desktop.
